There are, however, 2 or 3 scratches that look like they could potentially be a bit more significant. There is a kind of long one on side 1 that goes across the last two songs, and a shorter 1 on side 2 that is on part of the 1st song. Even these don't look that deep though. It's unlikely that any of them are bad enough to cause a skip or disturb the listening much. If anything there may be a few pops and clicks here and there, more likely on the songs mentioned, perhaps.
Could maybe be a bit of surface noise but for the most part I would imagine that this record still sounds pretty good. So, not quite VG, but perhaps close. Some copies of this record came with a Dogtown Skateboards catalog, but this one did not. One of England's leading goth bands of the s, the Sisters of Mercy play a slow, gloomy, ponderous hybrid of metal and psychedelia, often incorporating dance beats; the one constant in the band's career has been deep-voiced singer Andrew Eldritch.
There is some disagreement as to whether the group took its name from an order of Catholic nuns or from the Leonard Cohen song of the same name. Eldritch originally formed the band in with guitarist Gary Marx and recorded its first single with a drum machine dubbed Doktor Avalanche. Guitarist Ben Gunn and bassist Craig Adams were added to make live gigs feasible, and the Sisters built a reputation through several singles and EPs.

I prefer the first Body Electric. There is a sense of urgency about it. The second which I love too is a little too squeaky clean! I have bought all three of the other reissue boxsets, even though I already had almost all of the original vinyl.
It will now be the only major Sisters release not to make it onto reissue vinyl. Body and Soul was on Warners Brothers. The original Some Girls collected up all the independent releases only. Why would any vinyl aficionados bother with this? A bunch of tracks are ripped from vinyl.
Why would you buy vinyl of a vinyl rip??? Makes no sense. Must look for that at vinyl at some point…. The Sisters have a reputation very undeserved for being difficult to work with, whilst their then label refused to promote them and The Sisters were fairly vocal about it. The Sisters have repackaged their modest catalogue more than any other band, ever.
I know the Rolling Stones and the Who have a lot more compilations, but they also have a lot more material to choose from.
A pity. However, mr. All News Daily Roundup. Album Reviews Song Reviews. Song Lyrics. Review: RIFF-it. RIFF-it good. Listen while you read! Add Comment. Afterhours 2. Anaconda 3. Body and Soul 4.
